My pops has done so much for me that I cannot even sit here and try to say half of it. He has sacrificed his time with me, our family, and his family, just to provide for us. I sometimes blame myself for letting him drive trucks. I just thought they were cool, but I was the one who sent him out on the road to miss our childhood. While my mom was at home raising me and my sister, he was on the road traveling from city to city. I prayed every night that he came home each weekend. My prayers worked and still do because he has been doing it for over 15 years and has never had an accident ! He taught me how to play sports, how to be a man and for those of yal who know me personally he taught me how to be the comedian that I am ! Lol naw but for real pops was the one who showed me the ropes when I needed someone to be there in the clutch. He’s more than a father to me. He’s the one I can call and talk to for hours and hours about sports. He’s the one who will never let me down in life. I just want to say thanks for being there when I needed you the most and I also want to apologize for allowing you to miss our childhood because I thought trucks looked “cool”. You did it for me, but you ended up providing a lot of things for our family ! Hopefully when I become a father, I can raise my children half as good as you raised us ! Thanks pops ! I love you !
Words cannot explain how much this lady has done for me in my 24 years on this earth …don’t get me wrong I did grow up in a 2 parent household, but when my pops was on the road getting money, who was the one getting on the city bus with me when we didn’t have a car so I could go to my rec baseball games at May Park? Who was the one riding a taxi cab all the way to May Park so I could get to basketball practice? She was. I could never do anything to repay my mother for the things she did!! I couldn’t give her enough money, buy her enough clothes, give her rough jewelry, take her on enough trips, buy her enough houses, or anything like that. I couldn’t even say thank you enough! While growing up, many of us don’t understand the sacrifices that our mothers make to things happen. They don’t tell us because we won’t understand, but as we grow older we begin to see and start to understand that they were doing this for us. Many of the things my mother did, did not concern her. Hell going to May Park and picking me up from baseball practice every afternoon didn’t mean anything to her! That was all for me, and for that my queen deserves it all! Although I’m not able to be there with her, I want her to have a very Happy Mother’s Day! I love you ma! 😊👑
I wanna send a huge birthday shoutout to the man who taught me how to do damn near EVERYTHING. He taught me how to ride a bike🚴 shoot a basketball🏀 throw a football🏈 and have a passion for sports that no one else seems to understand but him and I. He taught me how to be compassionate, and how to be a man. He taught me how to take losses and keep it moving. He taught me how to do so many things that I can’t name all of them, but just know he was a major help in contributing to the man I am today !! I just wanna say happy 55th birthday pops !
